Chapter 1: Age 21
He watched him, as he got dressed and left. He sighed, no one even knew they were together but he always left when he thought he wasn’t awake to see. He closed his eyes and turned.

Sanji hurriedly ran to his apartment, making sure no one saw him as he went. He fumbled to get his keys out of his pocket but dropped them. A yawn next to him made him bolt up.
Luffy laughed at him loudly, “You look so funny Sanji! Why didn’t you tell me you were going to roll in the grass? I love rolling in the grass!” Luffy grinned and pulled his blanket around him further. It was cold but it was still early. The sun had barely risen, the sky a pale orange with small puffy looking clouds.
Sanji smoothed his hair, “I was out late and crashed at a friend of mine’s place…and I fell walking back.” He looked away from Luffy to finally open his door, “I’m assuming you want breakfast bottomless pit?”
Luffy nodded wildly and followed Sanji though the door. Sanji sighed as he walked to his kitchen. He quickly made Luffy some food and set it on the table.
“I’m going to go take a shower, and then I’ll drive us to work…” He sluggishly walked to his bathroom, stripping. As he slid under the running water he smiled slightly. He loved spending nights with Him. They were always a welcomed break from his usual life, What with cooking and running with his father, their restaurant. It was successful, their restaurant, but it was hard work.
He turned the nob and the water ended. He dried himself quickly and dressed for work, a suit as usual. Sanji run out of the bathroom and into the kitchen to see all of breakfast was gone.

Zoro yawned loudly he walked down the streets of East Blue. Luffy had told him that he was going to introduce him to some of his friends, so he was headed towards the park just outside of Grand Line. It was still cold even though it was spring. He had no idea how long he was going to be with Luffy’s friends, he just had to make sure that he had enough time to get to the dojo. They only had a few days left of spring break and he wanted to make the most of them.
He slowly walked into the park and spotted Luffy. “Luffy! I’m here!” He waved to him and Luffy waved back wildly.
“Zoro! Over here!” Luffy ran up to him and dragged him back to his friends. “Guys! This is Zoro! He‘s awesome!”
Zoro looked at them and put his hands in his pockets, “Hey.”
Luffy grinned and began to point at each one of them, “That’s Nami, Ussop, Chopper, Franky, and Sanji! Only Robin and Brooke couldn’t come cus’ they still had to work.” Zoro nodded to and looked at them all.
Ussop looked Zoro intently, “Have I met you before?”
Zoro shook his head, “No but you may have seen me at one of my matches.” Speaking of matches he should have been working for his next as it was next weekend and he was representing his dojo.
“Yeah! That’s it! I watch the kendo matches with Sanji on TV.” Zoro rolled his eyes.
Sanji looked at him, “I didn’t know that you knew Luffy, Marimo.”
Zoro glared at him, “Yeah but I didn’t know you knew him as well, Curly brow.”
They both glared at each other before Luffy looked at them, “You guys know each other?”
“Unfortunately we do.” Sanji glanced at Luffy.
Zoro growled at him, “Was that a challenge!”
“Maybe it was!” They both began to fight but no one stopped them as they could see they weren’t actually going to hurt each other. They fought for about two minutes before Nami hit them both and yelled at them.

Sanji glanced at Zoro as they all ate at the food court in the mall they were at. He had noticed that Zoro was constantly looking at his phone, for the time he thought. He jumped slightly when Zoro stood quickly.
“Luffy I promised a friend that I would help them at the dojo today, it okay if I go?” Sanji frowned some but didn’t say a word. Luffy nodded to him and he walked to get his sweatshirt which was next to Sanji. As he was about to leave he left a small piece of paper next to Sanji and left.
He stared at it and waited for no one to be looking at him to open it.
“Sanji meet me at our usual spot. I have to talk to you.”

Zoro looked at his phone quickly, looking at the time. He wondered where Sanji was, he was usually there way before him. He had been greatly surprised to find he wasn’t there and had begun to worry. He knew that he didn’t get lost; Sanji and he had grown up in these streets together, they were only alive because they had stuck together as children.
He sat up when he heard a noise a little ways away from him. He saw a figure stumble towards him, he couldn’t see who it was but he had an idea and he didn’t like it. The figure came closer and Zoro could see blood falling. One moment he saw blonde hair the next he had a knife held against his neck. The other was breathing hard, Zoro could see his shirt almost completely gone, save for a few scraps.
“This is your fault you fucker,” Sanji growled at him. “This would have never happened if you had stayed out of my life! Things were finally working for once in my life and you had to come back!” Sanji stood back and breathed deeply for a moment.
“Sanji what the hell happened? You perfectly fine earlier what happened in-between now and then?” Zoro stared straight at him, willing Sanji to tell him.
“They fucking attacked me! I was too messed up from the rest of the day to stop them. Three of them came at me, two with knifes and one with a gun! I could have been killed! They just wanted to torture me because I was involved with you!” Sanji fell to his knees, “I can’t stand you! We’re done! I never want to see you again!” He fell to the ground unconscious.
Zoro couldn’t believe what he had just been told; his best friend/lover had just told him to step out of his life completely. He could see Sanji bleeding out quickly. He put everything behind him for that moment and picked him up. He hurriedly brought him to his car and drove to the hospital.

Sanji slowly blinked his eyes open. Where was he? Or better yet: Who was he? He had no idea what so ever. He felt like a million rocks had hit him everywhere on his body. He, ever so painfully slow, sat up. He looked at his hands, which were covered in bandages. Now he was really confused. Somewhere in the back of his head he knew he would never let anything harm his hands.
Sanji looked up as he heard the door on the other side of the room open. A tall man with a long blonde mustache looked up at him wide-eyed. The man walked over to him quickly.
“You scared me half to death Eggplant! What were you thinking! You should be glad that Zoro was there to save you!” Sanji held his head as the man’s voice seemed to echo in his head. He had no idea what to do, this man was obviously something to him and so was this Zoro person apparently.

“So you’re saying he has no memory what so ever? None of me or our friends or-“Zeff put out one hand to stop him from talking.
“Yes, when I walked in there he had no idea who I was or who you were. There’s no way he would mess around like that. Plus Kureha said that it should only be temporary.” Zoro thought for a moment, Sanji remembered nothing of their childhood or of them...He could try to make amends and protect him but… What would happen when he came back to his senses and how long until then?
“You think I could go see him? He’s being released today right? I’ll bring him to my apartment until he regains his senses.” Zeff nodded to him, took one last look at Sanji’s door and turned, leaving. Zoro sighed softly and turned towards the door. He was ready, he thought to himself as he walked to the door. He opened it slowly and walked in. It was like any of the rooms in the place. Sanji was sitting on the chair next to his bed.
Sanji looked up at him, “Who are you?” He curiously asked.
“So Zeff really wasn’t pulling my leg…I’m Zoro. I’m…a really close friend of yours. I was the one who found you out in the alley.”
TLTLTLTLTLTLTLTLTLTLTLTLTLTLTLTLTLTLTLTLTLTLTLTLTLTLTLTLTL
Zoro watched as the others were shot down, he smirked at the sight. He loved this feeling, it’s the reason why he loved being in a gang. He could watch blood fly and feel alive again after years of fighting to live then being dumped alone when his partner turned on him with a person he called father. He hated him now; he was the one he wanted to spread the blood of. To destroy him would do it for him. He had made it to second in command quickly. The men that were with him at the moment finished quickly and Zoro gestured them all to leave. They nodded to him quickly seeing the bloodlust still mirroring in his eyes. Many were afraid of him, even if they were in the gang. They knew that he wouldn’t hesitate to kill them all and he would enjoy it.
Crimson blood stained both his hands and swords; He made a mental note to clean them as soon as he got back. He still had an evil looking smirk on his face but no one would be able to see it as his face was covered by his black hood. His black hoodie fit him perfectly, being a little baggy and just going pass his hands made it perfect for walking around without being noticed.
He walked down the moon-lit alley ways. He saw a figure moving in front of him, coming towards him. His nose wrinkled when he smelt the horrible smell of cigarette smoke.

Sanji glanced at him, “You’re that Zoro guy?” That stung, Zoro frowned as he sat down next to him on the ground.
“I think I liked it better when you were mad at me…” Zoro mumbled.
Sanji looked at him weirdly, “What?” Zoro shook his head. This was going to be a lot harder than, he thought.
“Doesn’t matter, we’re leaving now so you should get dressed,” He handed Sanji a set of his clothes, “You’re gonna come stay with me for a while till your memory returns then you can go back to living by yourself.”
